According to Stanley, he wanted to play the web-head himself and realized that the only way this might be able to happen is if he bought Marvel itself. For better or worse, things didn’t go his way.

7. In 2000 Michael Jackson went to crack Marvel again, except this time he didn’t try to buy anything. He just simply auditioned for the role of Charles Xavier, AKA Professor X, in 2000’s “X-Men.”

The “X-Men” producer Lauren Schuler Donner recalled her chat with the pop star about his potential casting in the role.

“I said to him, ‘Do you know Xavier is an older white guy?’ And Michael said, ‘Oh yeah. You know, I can wear makeup,'” Donner said. As a fan of Michael, I feel sad for my man.

17. It was with four of these siblings that Michael Jackson started his first band, Jackson 5, and started performing with them at the age of 6.

18. The Jackson 5 was managed by their father, Joe Jackson, who allegedly was tremendously strict. Joe would make them rehearse for long hours and deny them time to play unless it was with musical instruments.

19. Michael openly spoke about the methods his father used to discipline the Jackson 5 and how he would whip them during rehearsals when they made a single mistake. Michael Jackson himself told Oprah Winfrey he felt sick to his stomach both as a child and even as an adult when he performed in his father’s presence. 22. Michael Jackson’s obsession over his appearance is mainly due to his abusive father, who would always troll his physical appearance and even call him fat nose. This led to Jackson having four rhinoplasties and excessively fussing about his face, skin, and body for the rest of his adult life.
